MONTREAL--Police re-opened the site of McGill University Health Centre's super hospital on Friday after having responded to a bomb scare.

At least 1,500 workers were evacuated from the Glen Yards site just after 6 a.m. following a phone threat, with MUHC workers safely leaving without panic as police and emergency personnel moved in to investigate. The site off St-Jacques was closed until the afternoon as police brought sniffer dogs and other equipment in.

Police said the call was a hoax.
