Here is a partial list of road closures in the Montreal area for the weekend of July 11. To check the traffic in real time where you're going, have a look at our traffic page.

Highway 40 (In Rigaud at Montee Wilson)

One lane out of two will be closed in both directions.

Highway 15 at the exit for Highways 30 East and 132 West (In Candiac):

One lane out of two will be closed. Exit 42 northbound will also be closed.

The Laurentian Autoroute, at the interchange for Highways 15 and 640

Northbound: two lanes out of three will be closed at the 640 from Friday at 11:59 p.m. until Saturday at 6 a.m.

Southbound: two lanes out of three will be closed at the 640 from Friday at 11:59 p.m. until Saturday at 6 a.m.; two lanes of three will be closed between the train bridge and the 640 from 11:59 p.m. Saturday until Sunday at 8 a.m., then from Sunday at 11 p.m. until Monday at 5 a.m.; and the ramp to Highway 640 will be closed from 11:59 p.m. until Monday at 5 a.m.

Motorists, take note: this area will also be the focus of a photo radar operation.

The La Fontaine Tunnel

Northbound, two lanes out of three will be closed Friday at 11:30 p.m. and reopen Saturday at 5 a.m.

The ramp toward Highway 25 South for Highway 132 will be closed from Friday at 11:30 p.m. and reopen at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, and in the Boucherville Interchange, the ramp for Highway 20 West toward Highway 132 will also be off-limits Friday at 11:30 p.m. until Saturday at 9:30 a.m.

Mercier Bridge

The bridge will have one lane in either direction available throughout the weekend. A planned closure of the bridge overnight Saturday into Sunday has been postponed until next weekend.

Access to Highway 138 West from Highway 20 West toward the bridge will be closed from 5 a.m. Saturday until 5 a.m. Monday.

Access to Highway 20 West, toward the West Island, from Highway 138 East will be closed from 6 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday.

Jacques Cartier Bridge

The Jacques Cartier will be completely closed Saturday night from 8 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. for the fireworks competition at La Ronde. The Ville Marie and Viger Tunnels will also close for the occasion.

Transcanada Highway (Highway 40)

Roadwork on the westbound T-Can between St. Charles Blvd. in Kirkland and Anciens Combattants Blvd in St. Anne de Bellevue is to blame for the following closures:

Highway 40 West will be closed between exit 50 (St. Charles Blvd.) and Anciens Combattants Friday at 9:30 p.m. to Saturday at 9:30 a.m., and again at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, reopening at 9 a.m. Sunday.

Transports Quebec is advising motorists to use Highway 20 instead.

Highway 40 East will be closed between Exit 41 (Anciens Combattants) and Morgan Blvd. Friday at 9:30 p.m. to Saturday at 9:30 a.m., and again at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, reopening at 9 a.m. Sunday.

Transports Quebec suggests motorists use the service road as a detour.
