The city of Montreal has a new Chief of the Fire Department: Francois Massé.
Massé will also hold the post of Co-ordinator of Civil Security for the Montreal region.
He became a firefighter in 1988, rising through the ranks as lieutenant and captain for 17 years before moving into senior administrative posts 8 years ago.
He holds a B.Sc. and a Master's degree in Public Administration.
