Laval police rushed to Chenoy's Deli on Cure Labelle Blvd. early Thursday morning after shots were fired.

Officers arrived to find shell casings lying on the ground of the parking lot and some broken glass, but no sign that anyone was injured.

The incident happened at 4 a.m., and more than three hours later police were still searching the area for clues.

The restaurant is open for business 24 hours a day, but police have not said if anyone actually saw what took place.

The police are also checking with hospitals to see if anyone with gunshot wounds has showed up to an emergency room asking for treatment.
