MONTREAL - A man and a teenager were injured in armed attacks late Sunday evening in two separate locations in Montreal.

Around 10 p.m., a 36-year-old man was seriously wounded in the head when he was beaten with a blunt object in the corner of Viger Ave. and St. Urbain St. downtown.

Montreal police have confirmed that the victim will survive, despite the severity of his injuries.

At 11 p.m., a teenager was hit in the lower body by at least one bullet at the intersection of Robert Blvd. and Pre Laurin St. in Saint-Léonard. His life is not in danger.

The SPVM has not yet managed to make arrests in either case; investigations continue.
