A 15-year-old boy died of his injuries less than 24 hours after being hit by a car on Monday evening.

The boy was heading east on Perras Blvd. around 8:15 p.m. when he was struck by a car heading onto Highway 25.

Paramedics rushed the boy to hospital where he was reportedly kept on life support until Tuesday afternoon, with police receiving confirmation of the death Wednesday morning.

The Surete du Quebec is still investigating the collision and has yet to say if either the boy or the driver ran a light, or if the boy's bicycle had any lights.

Police say they still have witnesses to interview about the case before making any recommendations about criminal charges.
