The Montreal Canadiens’ new farm team has unveiled its uniform for the 2015-2016 season, and it will look very familiar to Habs fans.

The St. John’s IceCaps’ uniforms are “virtually identical” to the Habs’ bleu blanc et rouge get-ups, save for the logo, which features – you guessed it – an ice cap.

The socks, pants, gloves and helmets are all the same style as those worn by the Canadiens, and the jerseys feature the Canadians logo on the shoulders.

The IceCaps take over this year from the Hamilton Bulldogs as the Canadiens’ AHL affiliate. The Canadiens bought the Bulldogs earlier this year, moved the team to Newfoundland and Labrador and changed its name to the IceCaps.

The AHL team formerly known as the IceCaps that played in St. John's was moved to Manitoba to become the Manitoba Moose. The Hamilton Bulldogs name now belongs to an Ontario Hockey League franchise.
