Ambulances rushed to the scene of a seven-vehicle collision Friday afternoon on Cremazie just east of Provencher.
Police report that a pickup truck hit a car in the left lane and the impact then set off a series of other collisions.
The vehicles collided while travelling westbound on the road adjacent to the Metropolitain Expressway section of Highway 40 at about 2:45 p.m.
No information is as of yet available concerning the gravity of the injuries.
Police media relations agent Simon Delorme said that the driver of the pickup might face criminal charges for causing the accident.
