A second fire has destroyed what was left of a mill in the town of L’Ange-Gardien early Wednesday morning in the Monteregie region.

The cause of the latest fire has not been determined, but the first one ten days earlier was believed to be criminally set and caused damage estimated between $15 and $20 million dollars.

A 28-year-old ex-employee is facing charges in connection with the fire on February 23 at Meunerie Coté-Paquette, a wholesaler for animal stock feed.

The suspect is also accused of break and enter, theft, possession of stolen goods, and drug possession.

The most recent fire broke out at 4:30 a.m. in the one of the wall sections.
