Quebec comedian Gab Roy has appeared in a 15 minute online interview to announce that he is pleading guilty to charges of having sexual contact with a minor and plans to start serving a sentence on Friday.
Why are you pleading guilty? He is asked. "Because I am guilty," Roy, 34, replies. "I made a stupid decision."
Roy, 34, was charged last year after a woman appeared on another video posted to YouTube claiming that Roy had abused her when she was 15 and she responded by attempting suicide.
In October 2013 Roy was embroiled in another controversy when he wrote on his website about his sexual fantasies involving actress Mariloup Wolfe. She sued him and the two sides settled out of court last December.
