A 36-year-old woman was found dead in her home in on Goyer St. in Cote des Neiges Saturday morning.
Firefighters discovered her body in her apartment. It appeared she had been dead for several hours.
Police say there were no marks of violence on the body, but circumstances have led them to believe the death is suspicious.
"Right now we're trying to meet with some people that lived around here to find out if they know or have seen anything here in the past. [...] We're trying to put all the elements together to know exactly what happened," said Montreal police spokesperson Jean-Pierre Brabant.
The woman lived by herself in an apartment on the street.
Police are investigating.
