Three metro lines came to a halt Wednesday morning, with the STM asking for the assistance of first responders and other emergency crews.
The STM later confirmed that several people in the Berri-UQAM metro had been hit with pepper spray. That forced the STM to stop service on the Orange, Green, and Yellow lines.
The Orange line was shut down between Lionel Groulx and Beaubien, while the Green line stopped between Lionel Groulx and Viau.
The Yellow line was not working either.
Service resumed at 7:20 a.m.
