A 57-year-old has died after losing control of his vehicle north of Montreal at 3:50 a.m. Saturday.

The driver skidded off of Route 339 in St. Roch de l’Achigan, a rural community of 5,000 that sits 40 minutes north of Montreal.

The man, who was not wearing a seat belt, flew from the car after if went off the narrow rural road.

Speed and alcohol might have played a part in the accident, according to police investigators.
