Montreal police have taken over the investigation into shooting involving the Surete du Quebec Sunday in Plessisville.

Around 3:30 a.m., a man driving a Hummer rammed his car into parked SQ patrol cars in the town, about 95 kilometres southwest of Quebec City.

Two police officers were aboard one of the vehicles, and one officer fired at least one shot that hit the man in the arm.

The suspect’s wife had previously called police to report that her husband may be planning to commit such an act.

It is unclear whether the individual was intoxicated or under the influence of drugs.
