A man in his 20s is recovering after he was beaten and shot Monday night in Hochelaga-Maisonneuve.
The victim was attacked in an apartment on Chambly St. near de Rouin St. at about 8:45 p.m.
He was beaten in the upper body, as well as shot in the lower body with some type of gun, perhaps a BB gun, police said.
The man was conscious when Montreal police arrived at the scene. He is in fair condition, said police.
Police are trying to determine the motive for the attack. They are seeking at least one suspect, though they believe he may have been attacked by several people.
