Montreal police are investigating an armed assault that sent a man to hospital Saturday evening.
A dispute between two men erupted around 6:45 p.m. on the corner of Ste. Catherine St. and Ste. Andre in Ville Marie.
A man in his 30's sustained numerous stab wounds to the upper body, and was transported to hospital.
Police say that he is stable, but not cooperating with officers.
No word on whether he is known to police.
The suspect fled on foot and has not been located.
Police are on-scene and have erected a perimeter on Ste. Andre between Ste. Catherine and de Maisonneuve.
