A 21-year-old man suffered serious injuries in a clash involving several people early Saturday morning in downtown Montreal.

Around 4 a.m., police were called to a fight at the corner of Sainte-Catherine and Saint-Denis Sts.

When they arrived, they found the victim lying on the ground. The man was stabbed several times in the upper body. He was in critical condition, but his condition has since stabilized.

Police are trying to establish the exact circumstances of the scuffle. No one has been arrested.
