Firefighters from nine municipalities worked Saturday to battle a blaze that broke out at midnight Saturday in Sainte-Emelie-de-l’Energie, 125 kilometres north of Montreal.

It took six hours for the firefighters to bring the fire, which started at a trailer manufacturer called Asetrail, under control.

No one was injured, but 16 people will lose their jobs because of the ordeal.

So far the cause of the fire has not been determined, but firefighters are working under the theories that it was either an electrical fire or an ember that was lodged in the wall.

The factory was operating until 5 p.m. on Friday.
