A cyclist suffered serious head injuries after being hit by a truck pulling a load of Bixi bicycles Friday morning.
The collision happened just before 9 a.m. as both the truck and bike were heading westbound on Sherbrooke St. and the driver tried to merge onto Cherrier Ave. at the fork, but hit the cyclist instead.
The cyclist was rushed to hospital where at last report they were in critical condition.
The driver was taken to hospital and treated for shock.
Montreal police spent the morning at the scene gathering evidence.
