A seven-year-old boy is fighting for his life in a Montreal hospital after being hit by a car while riding his bicycle in Nicolet, Quebec Friday afternoon.
Police have questioned the woman who was behind the wheel of the car that hit the young child, but have noted that she was not drunk and was not driving in a criminal manner.
The accident occurred at about 12:30 p.m. on Petit St. Esprit road near the family home in Nicolet.
The child was apparently trying to cross to get back home when the car hit him.
Nicolet is a town of about 8,000 that sits about 130 km northeast of Montreal by road.
