Two children were hospitalized after they were struck by a car in Laval Thursday afternoon.
When two vehicles collided at the intersection of Rene Laennec and Ivan Pavlov Blvds. in the Vimont district, the momentum carried one car into a sidewalk where a mother was walking with her children, aged 1 and 2.
The car hit the children, who both ended up under the car.
The 2-year-old sustained a serious head injury and was unconscious at the scene. He was taken to hospital and is in stable condition. The 1-year-old has an arm fracture and is in stable condition.
The mother was not injured but was treated at the scene for shock.
