MONTREAL - Police responded to reports of gunfire at 2:25 Thursday afternoon and rushed to a spot on St. Laurent Boul. near Sauriol, where they discovered a man shot dead in plain daylight.
The victim, Tony Gensale, 43, had been shot in the upper body and was declared dead on the scene.
Witnesses said that the man was killed after engaging in a conflict with more than one man after leaving a Tae Kwon Do school.
One witness told CTV Montreal that he saw two men flee the scene.
Police have made no arrests.
The victim is reported to have had a criminal past, involving at least one drug-dealing conviction several years ago.
