One man is seriously injured and several more suffered minor injuries as a school bus carrying 30 workers collided with an oncoming car in east end Montreal Monday night.
Police were called at about 10:15 p.m. after the car, heading north on Saint-Germain St., collided with the school bus, which was westbound on Sherbrooke St. E.
Collision experts spent Monday night investigating the scene.
Police spokesperson Anie Lemieux said the man in the car suffered serious injuries to his back, but his life is not in danger.
A number of people on board the school bus also suffered minor injuries. At least six people left the school bus on stretchers, wearing neck braces. They were sent to hospital in ambulances.
One of the workers, headed to the Monteregie, said he was shaken up by the incident and there was panic on the bus, but there were no life-threatening injuries.
