MONTREAL—A 48-year-old American man is dead after having fallen from a Mount Royal lookout early Sunday morning.
According to Urgences-Sante, the man fell 30 feet into a ravine from the lookout off the Camillien-Houde Parkway around 1:07 a.m. Emergency teams located the man at 1:37 a.m. and a team of firefighters lifted the body out.
Attempts to revive the man were not successful.
While the fall appears to be accidental, authorities could not determine what may have caused the man to plunge to his death. An autopsy will be performed.
