A man is dead after an apparent stabbing on Thursday night near the intersection of Ste. Catherine St. and Fort.
At 2:35 a.m., police received a call about a man lying on the ground in front of a restaurant.
Upon arrival, officers found the man unconscious and bleeding heavily.
Urgence Sante transported him to hospital, where he was confirmed dead.
Early reports indicate he was stabbed by another man who fled the scene before officers arrived.
Police say the motive for the attack is unknown and the incident is currently being investigated by the major crimes unit.
