A 30-year-old man appeared in court Tuesday in connection with the 27th homicide on the island of Montreal in 2015.
Bobby Tukkiapik is accused of second-degree murder after his arrest by Montreal police in the western end of the city.
The victim was stabbed multiple times during a fight that occurred early Friday morning in downtown Montreal.
The attack took place around 2:35 a.m. in front of a restaurant on Sainte-Catherine St. West, near Fort St.
After witnesse scalled 911, police arrived at the scene to find a man lying unconscious on the ground, covered in blooded. The assailant had already fled.
The exact circumstances of the attack are still unknown.
