A motorcycle crash in Longueuil killed two people early Wednesday.

Shortly before 2 a.m., the motorcycle was traveling on the ramp that connects Highway 132 east to Highway 20 east. The person driving seems to have lost control in a curve and the motorcyle hit a guardrail.

The victims are a 29-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman. They were brought to hospital where their deaths were confirmed. Police don't know how the two knew each other yet, nor do they know who was driving as the pair were thrown from the motorcycle on impact.

The Surete du Quebec has launched an investigation into the exact cause of the accident. They don't believe alcohol was involved.

Police say they want to talk to the driver of a white cube truck, who they believe may have seen who was driving the motorcycle when it crashed.

The ramp where the collision occurred was closed to traffic for a time, but has since been reopened.
