Former Parti Quebecois leadership hopeful Paul St-Pierre Plamondon has found a place alongside former rival Jean-Francois Lisee.

Plamondon has been named a special adviser to the new PQ chief whose task will be to hold public consultations between Nov. 1 and March 31 in an effort to renew the party, said Lisee.

Lisee credited Plamondon with attracting 5,000 new members to the party, especially among the business and cultural communities, as well as voters under 40.

The 39-year-old Plamondon will submit a report on the relaunch of the PQ in April 2017.

While the exact nature of the public consultations was not revealed, Plamondon said there would be a digital component.
