Two more Canadian film producers will be heading to the Cannes Film Festival.

Movies by Kim Nguyen of Montreal, and Nathan Morlando, will be part of the Directors' Fortnight shown at the festival in May.

Nguyen's "Two Lovers and a Bear," filmed in Ontario and Nunavut, is the story of a couple told against the backdrop of racial strife in Canada.

It stars Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black) and Dane DeHaan (Chronicle).

"Mean Dreams" is an action film about two teenagers trying to flee their broken families, starring Bill Paxton, Sophie Nelisse and Josh Wiggins.

Last week, the festival announced Xavier Dolan's "Until the End of the World" will be one of the 49 films up for the Palme d'Or award.

The Cannes Film Festival takes place from May 11 to 22.
