MONTREAL - The first time Kennedy Henry saw ballet dancers move across the stage, she knew exactly what she wanted to do with her life.

"I love watching it, but once I started to do it, just the feeling of dancing, it's just the best feeling ever," said Kennedy.

Dancing since she was five years old, Kennedy is a tough critic of her own performance

'When I look at myself dancing I only see the things I could fix. I don't really see the nice things, or what some people say might look nice," said Henry.

Her teacher, Joelle Henry, says a great dancer is disciplined, passionate and focused.

"She has this talent to understand the way dance is working and that's what makes her so special," said Joelle.

Dancing at L'ecole superieure de ballet du Quebec, the province's top dance school, Kennedy practices with some of the best performers in Quebec.

Performing in front of crowds is hard work and she has tips.

"You try and forget about what you do in class and try to think about the moment that you're in right then. You do it for yourself, but at the same time for your audience. And it feels great," said Kennedy.

Her mom says watching her is a treat.

"When you see her dance there's so much passion, delicate and loveliness," said Tiffany Henry.

Kennedy's dream is to dance professionally.

"I'd definitely like to be in a company and I would like to be in at least one music video in my life."
