SASKATOON - Justin Trudeau says he's not marking the 10th anniversary of his father's death.

Trudeau, Member of Parliament for the riding of Papineau, was in Saskatoon Tuesday participating in a forum with students and faculty at the University of Saskatchewan.

He said he thinks about his father, Pierre Elliott Trudeau, every day, and doesn't pay special attention to the day he died.

Justin Trudeau spoke Tuesday about how his father will be remembered.

"My father's legacy will be debated for the next decades by politicians, journalists scientists and historians," he said. "For me, I'm not overly worried about what that legacy is going to be. My father does a good job of speaking for himself, even after he's gone, with his words and his deeds."

Canada's 15th prime minister, Trudeau's former wife, Margaret Trudeau, says he didn't like sentiment very much and that's why his grave site is quiet and off the beaten path.

Trudeau is buried with his parents inside the Trudeau family crypt in St-Remi-de-Napierville Cemetery, in Saint-Rémi, about 35 kilometres south of Montreal.
