MONTREAL - Everything is big in the NBA, especially for the front-running Miami Heat, where the promises, pressure, egos, salaries and stakes are giant-sized.

Montreal's Joel Anthony, 29, whose tenure with the team predates its extravagant free-agent signings, helped the promise of a championship become a reality this year, as the team bagged the NBA championship.

The Selwyn House and Dawson College grad, known affectionally as The Warden, likes to come back to town to visit his single-mother who did so much to encourage him throughout the years.

Anthony, who earns over $3-million per season, also took time to take on a challenge laid down by CTV Montreal's Chantal Desjardins, who later blamed her footwear for her defeat on the court.
