MONTREAL - Police averted a violent standoff when three men robbing a jewelry store on St. Hubert near St. Zotique surrendered without resistance at noon on Friday.
The three had allegedly struck an employee with a firearm who then left the store.
The three would-be thieves, all white males in their twenties, were left inside alone and surrendered without incident when police arrived and caught them on the premises.
The is no word on what charges they will face.
Nobody was injured but the store suffered extensive damage.
