MONTREAL - The Montreal Canadiens have assigned defenceman Jarred Tinordi to the American Hockey League's Hamilton Bulldogs.

Tinordi has recorded two assists and seven penalty minutes in nine games with Montreal this season. He was sent down to Hamilton already this season, Nov. 6.

He has recorded no points or penalty minutes in two games with Hamilton.

The 22-year-old split the 2013-14 season between the Canadiens and Bulldogs. In 22 regular season games with Montreal, the six-foot-six, 225-pound defenceman recorded two assists and 40 penalty minutes.

Tinordi was selected by the Canadiens in the first round (22nd overall) in the 2010 NHL draft. The six-foot-six, 225-pound defenceman from Burnsville, Minn., has recorded six assists and 49 penalty minutes in 39 career NHL games.
