For the second time this month, one side of the Champlain Bridge will be closed for the weekend.

Crews will be replacing expansion joins on the Montreal-bound side of the bridge.

That means the Montreal-bound lanes, as well as the access ramps from Highway 10 and Highway 132, will be closed from Friday at 10 p.m. until Monday at 5 a.m.

More work will take place on the Champlain Bridge over two weekends in October.

With inbound traffic on the Champlain eliminated, crews are taking advantage of the lighter traffic flow to do work on the Bonaventure Expressway.

Exit 2 toward downtown, as well as Des Moulins Rd. under the highway, will close at 10:50 p.m. Friday and reopen at 5 a.m. Monday.
