MONTREAL - The Montreal Impact -- always scouring the globe for help shoring up its fledgling MLS squad -- has once again found help in Italy.

FC Bologna announced that it will loan midfielder Andrea Pisanu to the Impact for the 2013 season.

The Italian Serie A squad reported on its website on Thursday that it had reached an agreement with the Impact for a one-year transfer of the 30-year-old Pisanu.

Pisanu has enjoyed a successful career in Europe but not on the same level as previous Impact signings from Serie A, which include the legendary Bernardo Corradi, who will not be back with the team in 2013.

Piranu proved his fitness to the Impact in a November try-out overseen by interim coach Mauro Biello, in charge since the departure Jessie Marsch.

Pisanu becomes the second player from FC Bologna to join the Impact. The first was striker Marco Di Vaio.
