Karl W. Ouimette played the hometown hero Saturday as he scored the game-winner in a 2-1 comeback win for the Impact over the visiting Philadelphia Union.

Ouimette, who is from Repentigny and is the first player to make the team from its academy, snuck in on the left side in the 45th minute to head a Justin Mapp ball home past Union goalkeeper Zac MacMath.

Marco Di Vaio had tied the score in the 64th minute as he made a full pivot in the box before kicking one into the twine on a play set up by Davy Arnaud and Felipe Martins.

The Impact had entered the second half trailing 1-0 and had shown little sign of life after Fabinho had scored from in close in the 29th minute, blasting a goal past a helpless Impact goaltender Troy Perkins.
