Those motoring west along Highway 20 will be forced off to take a detour up the Decarie tonight starting at 10 p.m. The re-routing is expected to last eight hours, until 6 a.m. Thursday.

The provincial Transport Ministry announced late Wednesday afternoon that they will be forced to close the ramp in order to make repairs to a slab in the right lane, which was seen Tuesday afternoon.

The right lane is currently closed to traffic and the ramp will be fully closed betwee 10 p.m and 6 a.m.

Those wishing to stay on Highway 20 are invited to drive north onto Decarie and loop back south on the Cote St. Luc exit, whereupon they'll be able to re-enter Highway 20 to complete their normal route.

The detour will also affect those who usually travel south off the 720 west to Highway 15 south (towards the Champlain Bridge). That ramp is closed until mid-November so the suggested detour at Angrignon will be replaced by the northbound alternative.
