GRONDINES, Que. - A tanker ship that grounded in the St. Lawrence River with fertilizer aboard is back afloat.

A spokeswoman for the Transportation Safety Board says the Halit Bey is back on its way to Trois-Rivieres without causing any apparent pollution.

The cause of today's accident is still unclear.

The 160-metre-long vessel was heading toward Trois-Rivieres when it hit ground near Grondines, a small municipality southwest of Quebec City.

TSB spokeswoman Julie Leroux says three investigators who were sent to the scene are on the ship conducting interviews.

Leroux says they will determine whether there is to be a more in-depth investigation.
