The first Formula E race ever held on Canadian soil is taking place in Montreal this weekend.

On Monday, the FIA gave fans a little teaser, by publishing a simulated video of the Montreal track weaving its way through the city.

The track is 2.7 kilometres long using parts of Papineau, Viger, Notre-Dame and Berri.

It involves an elevation change and long straights, making it an ideal track for over tracking.

The ePrix festivities begin Friday at 5 p.m.
