The price of gasoline is hovering around $1/litre in many parts of the country, a price not seen since 2010.

On Thursday gas prices in Ottawa and Edmonton were below $1/litre, while the average price in Manitoba was $1.03.

In New Brunswick the price is about $1.14, while it's $1.17 in Nova Scotia and $1.22 in Quebec.

Prices in Montreal can be as low as $1.12/litre, while the highest price in the past year was in June, when gas was about $1.39/litre.

The tumble in gas prices comes with a drop in the price of crude oil, which is now trading around $75 a barrel - also a price not seen since 2010.
