Funeral services for Sylvie Roy, the MNA who died suddenly this past weekend, will take place Monday in Trois Rivieres.

Roy was hospitalized several weeks ago with acute hepatitis and never recovered.

The MNA for Arthabaska had been a member of the ADQ, and later the CAQ, before leaving the party last year in a split with leader Francois Legault.

The CAQ leader, along with Premier Philippe Couillard, interim PQ leader Sylvain Gaudreault, and many other provincial politicians have confirmed they will attend the ceremony.

Roy was 51 years old.
