Flowers and photos lined the funeral home where last respects were paid to homicide victim Pina Rizzi Sunday.

Family and friends gathered to grieve, but also to try to make sense of the violent crime that occurred before her body was found Aug. 4 in a shed at 2600 Notre Dame St. East near the intersection with Frontenac St.

Rizzi, 47, was last seen leaving Saphir Bar on St. Laurent Blvd. with three men early in the morning on Aug. 2.

Between then and the moment her burnt body was found wrapped in a carpet remains a mystery both to those closest to her and to investigators.

"We are looking for three men; two in their mid-20s, one in his mid-40s," said Montreal police Const. Daniel Lacoursiere.

Her family remains distraught, and hopes the public may be able to provide some clues to solve the crime.

"We need information, because we are not going to let this rest," said her best friend, who did not want to be named.

Rizzi, a successful make-up artist who worked with a Hollywood clientele, was remembered as a kind soul.

"She's so easy to love. She was a kind person, not someone who deserved to die like this. Nobody deserves to dies like this. Not even a hardened criminal deserve to die like this, but her least of all," said her brother Tony Rizzi.

Rizzi, who was five-foot-two and 105 pounds, was last seen wearing a white, long-sleeved shirt with a hood, white jeans with zippers down the legs, and flip flops. She had long brown hair and wore dark blue nail polish. She was also carrying a handbag with a skull-and-crossbones symbol on it.

Below are descriptions of the men she was last seen with:

  • A 25-year-old white man with curly hair combed back. He is five-foot-ten, weighs 170 pounds, and was wearing dark clothes. He has tattoos on both his arms
  • A 40-year-old white man wearing dark clothing. He is six-foot-one and weighs 200 pounds
  • A 24-year-old with short black hair, combed to the back with hair gel. He is five-foot-six and weighs 140 pounds. He was wearing a black t-shirt when he was last seen.
