An Italian cafe has gone up in flames under suspicious circumstances for the fourth time in a week.

The Montreal police arson squad is investigating the small fire at 9195 St. Michel.

Officers received a call at around 4 a.m. Thursday after a burglary alarm was triggered.

Once there, officers were able to quickly put out the fire without the help of firefighters.

A molotov cocktail ignited the fire, causing minor damage.

There are no suspects at this time.

Similarities

The attack happened near the scene of three other Molotov cocktail attacks in recent days.

Last Thursday, the Cafe Bistro Charland was torched in St. Michel. The previous day, two Italian cafes had been torched nearby.

No one was hurt in any of the incidents - no one has been arrested.
