UPDATE: Montreal police announced Sunday evening that Prudence has been found.

MONTREAL—Montreal police “fear for the safety” of a missing 13-year-old boy who moved to Canada from his native Cameroon only three weeks ago.

Prudence Joel Noundjeu went missing at 11 a.m. on Saturday morning near his parent’s home in St-Henri.

According to Montreal police constable Danny Richer, the case is particularly worrying for investigators as the teenager doesn’t know many people in Canada or completely understand the lay of the land.

The 75 pound boy has closely cropped black hair and was wearing a black coat with a hood when he went missing. Anyone who sees the boy is asked to call 911 or leave an anonymous message with Info-Crime at 514-393-1133.
