Some people would rather watch paint dry than watch soccer.

Tuesday night they had their chance as the start of the MLS East Final was delayed more than half an hour because of an error with the penalty boxes.

At both ends of the pitch, the boxes were off by three yards.

Shortly before 8 p.m. employees remeasured the lines and repainted the boxes, all under the supervision of the referee.

Team owner Joey Saputo told ESPN that he accepted responsibility for the error.

The Impact frequently play on artificial turf at the Olympic Stadium at the beginning of the season.

Tuesday's game is the first of two in a two-game aggregate goal series and once it began, it got off to a quick start, with Dominic Oduro and Matteo Mancosu both scoring within 15 minutes.

The second game will be played Nov. 30, 2016 in Toronto.
