A 23-year-old man was shot after an altercation in the Plateau early Sunday morning.

The victim was hit with at least one gunshot in the upper body but police said his life is not in danger.

The incident happened as bars closed on St-Laurent Blvd. near Prince Arthur at 3:30 a.m.

A police perimeter was established on St-Laurent between Sherbrooke and Prince Arthur but the street has since been reopened.

No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing. The victim will meet with investigators on Sunday.
