The family of a missing Laval man is hoping the public can help them track him down.

Stylianos "Steve" Rounis, 43, has been missing since May 5.

Rounis left his home in the Chomedey neighbourhood early that morning, did not show up at work, and hasn’t been seen since. He takes medication and did not have it with him.

His family is concerned for his health and safety.

"He was quite happy lately. He had controlled his sugar problem after being diagnosed with diabetes," said his sister Anastasia.

She said the only thing unusual about the day he disappeared was that he left home at 6 a.m. instead of 7:30 or 8 o'clock.

Anastasia said Stylianos would normally call his family several times a day.

"He calls many times during the day just to see how we're doing, to speak to my children. He really had a special bond with my kids. And if he's going to spend the night out he would always call my mother to let her know," said Anastasia. "None of that happened that day."

Rounis is a white man, 1.78 metres tall (5’10’’) and weighs 120 kg (265 lbs). He has brown hair and blue eyes.

He speaks French, English and Greek.

He left in his car, a black 2015 Honda Civic, licence plate H52 HRN

Anyone with information about his disappearance is urged to call Info-Line at 450-662-INFO (4636) or call 911, mentioning the file LVL 170505 063. All calls are anonymous and confidential.
