A small fire broke out Wednesday morning in Montreal.
The fire began on the second floor of a mixed commercial/residential building at the corner of William and Guy Sts. before dawn.
Firefighters evacuated about 30 people from the building, none of whom were hurt.
Police blocked traffic while firefighters extinguished the flames and looked for a possible cause.
Wednesday morning police said the investigation may be transferred to the arson squad.
