Highway 40 was closed in both directions for several hours Monday after a tanker truck spilled diesel across the roadway.
The crash happened around 10:45 a.m. and after about three hours eastbound lanes were able to re-open.
By 3 pm. only one westbound lane had re-opened, and police and emergency officials could not say when the two remaining lanes would be open to traffic.
